Wrexham town of sanctuary aims to spread a culture of hospitality, support and inclusion, for those seeking sanctuary in Wrexham and the surrounding area.

Wrexham town of sanctuary is currently run on a voluntary basis by Refugee Solidarity Wrexham, a community group which works to support those seeking sanctuary in the UK and Europe.

Wrexham to Calais Solidarity and Refugee Solidarity Wrexham have over 1000 members on Facebook and Warehouse supplied by the local council which is jammed pack with hundreds of boxes of Aid to be sent to camps across Europe as well as Lebanon and Syria. We volunteer in Calais when ever time allows and have built up good relationships with the Residents of the camps and the volunteers on the ground and we will be working under Refugee Solidarity Wrexham to continue this work.

We are currently in the process of having an awareness day at our local university, a diversity event in collaboration with the local Mosque and diocese of North East Wales. We hope to do lots more to support sanctuary seekers locally in the near future! If you are interested in helping, please do get in touch.
